Age 69, passed away Monday evening, July 31, 2023. Jeaneen was born in West Bend, WI, on July 10, 1954, the daughter of Delbert Marvin and Arliegh Emma (Ehnert) Petermann. Jeaneen was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Fane, WI and confirmed in the Christian faith at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in West Bend, WI. On June 14, 1975, she married Brian W. Hall, who survives her. She and Brian were active members at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Portage, where Jeaneen sang in the choir, served on the Altar Guild and retreat committee, attended Bible studies, assisted with funeral luncheons, and any other tasks where she could be of service. Professionally, Jeaneen attended Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Nebraska where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and later her Master’s Degree from Western Michigan University. Since moving to Sturgis, Jeaneen served as a gym teacher for the Sturgis Public Schools for 24 years, and most recently as a substitute teacher. Jeaneen enjoyed gardening and especially loved her rose garden. She was a fan of Michigan State University where her children and their spouses attended. Jeaneen enjoyed spending time with friends, but nothing was more important to her than her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. Besides her husband Brian, Jeaneen is survived by her children, Aaron (Ashley) Hall of Bentonville, AR, Gretchen (Jason) Kimpel of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren, Ian Kimpel, Connor Kimpel, Austin Hall, and Addison Hall; siblings, Karen Eckhardt, Kathleen Limbach, Judith Frank, and many nieces and nephews.
