Robertson, Jeffery “Jeff”

Age 73, passed away at Hawthorn Landing in Kalamazoo, MI, on December 30, 2023. Jeffery was born in Saginaw, MI, on January 22, 1950, the son of the late James and Juliana (Mattes) Robertson. He was a kind and loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Raised in Saginaw, he graduated from St. Andrews High School. Jeff then attended Kellogg Community College where he was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Society. He went on to receive a bachelor’s degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Western Michigan University and later earned a Master of Public Administration from WMU. Jeff also served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1972. A man of faith and conviction, Jeff always stood up for what he believed was right. He enjoyed stamp collecting, knitting, building and playing with his model railroads. Jeff leaves behind many wonderful memories to cherish. On March 22, 1975, he married the love of his life, Lorna Robertson, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Lisa (Erik) Selke; and other relatives and friends. Jeff was preceded in passing by three sisters, Gwendolyn Powers, Janet Betz and Julie Cline. In accordance with his wish cremation has taken place, no services are being held and he will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, c/o the funeral home.
