Jeff will be laid to rest privately at West Cooper Cemetery and a memorial service to honor his life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Michigan Cancer Center or Valley Family Church, c/o the funeral home.

Age 72, passed away at Borgess Hospital on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. He was born in Kalamazoo on July 31, 1947, the son of William Hitchcock and Katherine (Saye) Orosz. After graduating high school, he was drafted and served our country with honor in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1969. He was a hard worker who retired from Stryker after twenty-five years. He also worked for several years at the Parchment Schools System.  When not working Jeff enjoyed building and flying remote control airplanes. He was a member of the West Michigan Smoke Rings Airplane Club and volunteered at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo.  He enjoyed deer hunting, spending time outdoors and camping at Schnable Campground. He was a faithful member of Valley Family Church. On July 2, 1969, he married the love of his life Sharon (Le Pert) Hitchcock who survives. He is also survived by two children, Audree Hitchcock, Scott (Cassandra) Hitchcock; four grandchildren, T.J. Yates, Nicholas Topp, Addison and Valarie Hitchcock; his mother, Katherine. He was preceded in passing by a daughter, Rebecca Topp and his father, William.
