A service to commemorate Jennie’s life will be held on Monday, December 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick Street, with the Reverend AJ Gretz officiating. Friends may call on the family beginning at noon at the funeral home. Age 95, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Jennie was born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, on May 5, 1923, the daughter of Willem and Keetje (Oudshoorn) Vos. On August 4, 1943 she married Harold Wolbers, who preceded her in death in 2008. She enjoyed volunteering at Borgess Medical Center for 14 years, and was an avid knitter and seamstress. She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Beverly) of Clarks Summit, PA, Stanley (Sandy) of Paw Paw, Dennis (Rose) of Portage, Gene (Mary Ellen) of Novi, and Mark (Miok) of Anchorage, AK; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Harold J. Wolbers and daughter in law, Ann Wolbers, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
