In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Battle Creek Elks Lodge No. 131, 1200 Harmonia Rd., Battle Creek, MI 49037, beginning at 12:00 PM. Memorial contributions in Jerry’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Age 70, passed away at home after a short battle with cancer on Monday, December 11, 2018; his loving family was at his side. Jerry was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on January 23, 1948, the son of the late John and Margaret (Doefer) Clear. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Jerry was also a motorcyclist and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie L. (Taylor) Clear; sons, Kevin, Allen and Jerry “George” (Shawn) Clear; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Vivian Ball and Frances (George “Everett”) Billings. Jerry was preceded by his parents; a brother, Mike Clear; and a sister, Dorothy Walbeck.
