Age 90, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2023, eleven days shy of her 91st birthday. She was born in Battle Creek on November 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Albert and Mildred (Betz) Nulf. JoAnn was a woman of faith, and her character was founded on her trust in the Bible. She read her bible daily, loved discussing verses and parables with her son Gary, and enjoyed watching Faith Filled TV shows. JoAnn had a keen mind and was extremely organized. She greatly enjoyed knitting, sewing and genealogy research. She was an amazing cook and loved to bake- providing delicious meals for every family holiday. Throughout her life she loved to take road trips and made many special memories while traveling with her family. JoAnn and her late husband Don had the pleasure of living on a farm throughout their adult lives which brought them many joys such as gardening, bird watching, harvesting, raising goats, rabbits, chickens and more. They loved to spend their weekends in the pool or sledding down what they called “Irwin Mountain” with their son Gary and granddaughter, Chrissy. She leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived and she will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. She was preceded in passing by her husband Donald Irwin; two children, Richard and Deborah Irwin; a brother, Dick Nulf. She is survived by a granddaughter, Chrissy (Zach) Gallan and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Gallan and her precious kitty, ‘Callie’.
