Age 66, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023. John was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on January 25, 1957, the son of the late Leonard and Margaret (Dolph) Blett. On June 15, 2001, he married Linda Jean (Munos) Blett, who survives. John is also survived by four step-children, Christopher (Tammy) Munos, Dawn Munos, Vickey (Gary) Stephens and Steve Watson; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother in-law, John Arnold and niece, Robin (Matt) Dean. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Blett and sister, Shirley Arnold. John was a long-time employee of Wal-Mart and loved his job there. He was a devout Detroit Red Wings fan and rooted for the Chicago Cubs. He loved spending time with family, especially during gatherings and cookouts. John also enjoyed collecting clocks of all shapes and sizes and watching professional wrestling. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM at The River Church, 517 Walbridge St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Memorial contributions in his memory may be given to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
