John, along with Sandy, had such an impact on my life as youth group leaders at 1st UMC-Marion, and also as good friends to my parents. I have many, many memories of John playing guitar as we all lifted our voice in song. He was hilarious, kind, and a steady rock for all of us. I'm so thankful to have know him, and still feel his influence in my life to this day. I know John will be missed by many. My thoughts are with the entire Steele family. Much love to you all.

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I worked with John at Odd Fellow & Rebekka Home and Jackson County Medical Care Facility. He was always so friendly and kind. He was a pleasure to work with. Sending prayers of comfort and healing to his family. God bless.
