Age 60, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. John was born in Kalamazoo, on March 20, 1960, the son of Vale and Joan (Steinman) Fifer, who survive him. John was an avid motorcyclist. He worked for 23 years as a production supervisor at St. Julian Winery in Paw Paw. He enjoyed spending time at his children’s sporting events, even the weekend long tournaments. He also loved Mill Lake and going to Canada on fishing trips. He was a great entertainer and cook. John also loved music and dancing. He was loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew him. Besides his parents he is survived by his children who he loved more than anything in the world, Taylor (Matt Peterson) Fifer of Bloomingdale, Adam Fifer of Gobles, Joshua Fifer of Gobles and Michael Fifer of Gobles; his former wife with whom he retained a special bond, Denise; brothers, Michael (Penny) Burris of Lawton, Rick (Linda) Burris of Thompsonville, Rodney (Marge) Burris of Gobles; sisters, Zana (Wes) Williams of Otsego, Kathy (Dennis) Knight of Martin, Julie Vosburg of Gobles; several nieces and nephews; and his special friend and puppy, Titan who is already missing him.
