Age 73, passed away on August 3, 2020. Jack was born on February 2, 1947, to John and Maryellen (Stewart) Stuart in Kalamazoo. Jack had many fond memories of growing up on Fairfield Road before there was an I-94. He and his brother Ken watched as crews put the highway through right next to their street. Jack made very close friends in his old neighborhood which he cherished for his whole life. Jack hired into the Post Office in 1967, was then drafted, and spent some time in the U. S. Army narrowly avoiding a trip to Vietnam, instead being sent to Korea. He married his sweetheart, Sandy Lockner (Fuller) and they were married for 8 years. He met his longtime partner, Penny Sundman at the Post Office and they had 30 years together, having one child. Jack retired from the Postal Service in 2003 after a traumatic head injury suffered at home. Jack is survived by his son, Taylor Stuart; brother, Kenneth (Kerry) Stuart; nephew, Kevin (Becki) Stuart; niece, Kori Stuart; and long-time close friend and partner, Penny Sundman and her spouse, Leons Purins. Jack will always be known for his love of nature and kindness to others. He was also known to love a good argument. He will be greatly missed.
