Well it’s finally happened, Joyce M. Bowers you are in the obituaries. She always started her newspaper with the “hatched, matched and dispatched” section according to her. She needed to know if she was in it. Joyce M. Bowers died June 11, 2025. Joyce was born December 24, 1932, to and preceded in death by Russell and Martha Taplin of Portage, Michigan. She has now joined her husband Robert C. Bowers, whom she married May 19, 1951. They celebrated over 65 years together. Joyce is survived by two daughters, Karen Yarbrough, Lori Bowers, and granddaughter Tiff Yarbrough, all of Kalamazoo. Joyce’s siblings have all passed prior to her: Albert Taplin, Roy Taplin, Lorraine Esman and Terry Taplin. Joyce had a life long love of dogs and an addiction to M&M’s.
