It is with great pain and sadness we that we announce the passing of Judy Sutton. Judy passed away on October 19th due to complications from liver disease. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always went out of her way to care for the people around her, even in her final days.

Throughout her life, Judy embraced a variety of roles. She served as a cook and caregiver to the members of the Israelite House of David for many years. She was a wonderful musician with a beautiful voice, and she wrote and performed her original music throughout the state in the 90’s. She was a Sunday school teacher, a black belt in taekwondo, and even a bartender for a bit.

Judy did many things in her life, and she brought joy and a spirit of service to all of them.
It is in this spirit of service that we would ask that instead of a charitable donation, those who want to honor her memory go out and do something kind for your fellow man. It doesn’t have to be elaborate or expensive, just kind. We need all of the kindness we can get now that Judy’s gone.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Pearl Christie; her husband, Bob Sutton; her grandson, Jerry Hoffman; her sisters, Becky Hampton and Dessie LaFerrara; and her brothers, Kenny, Terry, Harold, Lonnie, and Paul Christie. She is survived by her brothers, Dennis and Wayne Christie; her sister, Betty Johnson; her sons, Jerry (Yukari) Selph and Robert (Kristen Beuving) Sutton; her grandchildren, April, Jerry, Nicole, and Michelle Selph; Madeleine, Isabelle, and Jacob Sutton; and her great-grandchildren, Jaden, Payli, and Colton Creasey.
