A memorial service to celebrate Keith’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM, at Haven Reformed Church, 5350 N. Sprinkle Rd. Kalamazoo, MI 49004. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest privately at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to USO (United Service Organization) or the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, c/o the funeral home.

Keith Neils Bartlam, age 90, passed away at his home on June 15, 2026. He was born in Lee Township, MI, on December 9, 1935, son of the late Fredrick and Dorothy (Teal) Bartlam. After graduating high school, he attended Western Michigan University where he met his future wife, the late, Kathryn (Leech) Bartlam. They were united in marriage on July 26, 1958. Shortly after being married, Keith was drafted into the U.S. Army and served our country until being honorably discharged. He returned to his wife and began a family. Keith worked for KVP Papermill in Parchment which later became Brown Company, James River, then Crown Vantage. His keen mind and hard work ethic allowed him to advance in his career until he became Vice President of Sales and Marketing retiring from Blue Ridge Paper Company. When not working he enjoyed life, played golf, bowling, and spent time in the peace and quiet of his home and yard. He also enjoyed eating out at local venues where his smile and joyful personality were always welcomed. Above all Keith loved his family and was especially proud to be a grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived and he will be missed by all who knew him. He is also survived by four children, Karen (Jeff) VanDyke, Karol (Lisa) Bartlam, Kristin (Dean) Stramer, Kevin (Carrie) Bartlam; seven grandchildren, Corey (Brittany) VanDyke, Kelcey (Matt) Dillon, Jordan (Caleb) Beachler, Maygan Stramer, Nick Johnson, Gavin and Seth Bartlam; great-grandchildren, Chandler, Riley and Greyson VanDyke, Piper Dillon; sister and brother-in-law, Diane (Gary) Jones; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was also preceded in passing by a daughter, Kandy Bartlam; brother, Art Bartlam; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly (Keith) Otis; nephew, Mike Otis.
