Kalamazoo
Age 89, passed away on the evening of December 25, 2022. He was born in South haven, MI, on November 22, 1933, the son of the late Bernhardt and Bertha (Whitney) Warnicke. His family moved to Kalamazoo and he attended Kalamazoo Central. On August 19, 1953, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1956. He returned to make Kalamazoo his home and on April 22, 1961, he married the love of his life, Margaret Faye (Miller) Warnicke who survives. Ken was a hard worker and was very handy. He loved tinkering with tools he had collected, automobiles, and anything mechanical. He retired as a machinist from Beach Products after many years. When not working he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was dedicated to his family and friends and was always there when needed. He believed in the Lord and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church. Ken was also a member of the VFW. Ken’s smile and laughter will be missed by all who loved him. He is also survived by three sons, Paul (Meredith) Warnicke, Phillip (Luanne) Warnicke and Mark (Cheryl) Warnicke; seven grandchildren, Megan and Jennifer Warnicke, Joshua and David Warnicke, Aubrey (Shane) Higgins, Heather (John) Campbell, Elise Warnicke.
