Kevin Frederick Barthel passed away at his home on December 28, 2021, he was 63 years old. He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on January 12, 1958. He was the youngest child and the only son of the late Edward and Freda (Dremer) Barthel. Kevin was a kind, genuine, compassionate man. “K.B.”, as he was known to his many, many friends, lived life to the fullest. He made lasting memories with all of those around him. Kevin was a hard worker who always provided for his family.  K.B. was a semi-truck driver traveling the country for well over 10 years.  Kevin even named his daughter, Cheyenne after truck driving through Cheyenne, Wyoming.  Declaring his baby girl as beautiful as the landscape.  He later proudly owned his own car detailing business in Augusta.  Kevin enjoyed the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, a pastime he first shared with his father and later his son Camaron. He had a passion for fast cars and owned numerous vehicles throughout his life. Kevin was a regular at the Kalamazoo Speedway where he enjoyed watching with immense pride his son Camaron race. Kevin Posterguy was known at the track for his amazing photos and his graphic design skills. K.B. had a great sense of humor and always had a way to lighten the mood. He was also a great listener and was trusted by his peers. More than anything, Kevin loved his children, grandchildren, family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Kevin is survived by two children, Cheyenne (John-Albert Costello) Barthel-Costello and Camaron Barthel; two grandchildren, John-Albert Costello Jr. and Everly Costello; his life companion and true love, Annette Tolis; siblings Gerrie (Greg) Grimsley, Susan Eagle, Karen Button, Renee (Rick) VanHorn; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in passing by his sister, Denise Abel.
