Age 56, passed away peacefully at Kairos Dwelling on Friday, May 3, 2024, with loved ones by his side. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on March 4, 1968, the son of Larry and Ruth (Martell) Allen Sr. Larry was a loving and dedicated father, son, brother and friend. His warm smile and laughter will be missed by those who loved him. Larry graduated from Lawton High School in 1987 and later graduated from Kalamazoo Community College. He made many friends and had fond memories of those days. He settled in Southwest Michigan and was employed in the printing and auto industries where he worked hard to provide for his family. When not working he enjoyed stealing away to the golf course to play a round. He had many other passions and hobbies which he enjoyed. Larry’s greatest treasure in life was spending time with his two daughters. He leaves them with memories of camping trips (whether they enjoyed camping or not) as well as other days to remember. Though gone too soon, Larry will be remembered fondly and be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by two loving daughters, Faith and Kaylee Allen; mother, Ruth; two sisters, Barbara Allen and Amy (Michael) Mackey; nieces, Lillian and Abby; nephews, Nik and Luke; many extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in passing by his father Larry Sr.
