A service to commemorate Leamon’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 South Burdick Street. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project. c/o the funeral home.

Passed away on March 28, 2019. Leamon was born on September 30, 1947, in Inez, Kentucky, the son of Frank Leamon and Nellie Mae (Sluss) Porter. Leamon proudly served his nation in the United States Navy. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years. He was a good woodworker and liked playing his video games. He was a longtime employee of Burroughs Corporation. Every week he would take time to take his granddaughters out for lunch. They have fond memories of going to Sea World with him and being with him in South Haven. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Joe) Stacey of Kalamazoo; granddaughters Amanda (Jonathan) Ellis of San Luis Obispo, CA, and Betsy Stacey of Kalamazoo; brother, Larry (Diane) Porter of Plainwell; sister, Chrys (Dave) Fooy of Cooper; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Melinda Porter.
