A service to celebrate Leona’s life will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 24158 Goddard Rd., Taylor, MI 48180. A time of visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Private interment will take place at Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or St. Paul United Church of Christ.

Age 97, passed away on peacefully at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019. Leona was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 1, 1921, the daughter of the late Leo and Leona (Sanger) Supplee. On August 28, 1943, Leona was united in marriage to William A. Traub, who preceded her in death on January 13, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her son, William J. Traub and siblings, Frances Stiver, Melvin Supplee, Leo Supplee, Evelyn Stilwell and Betty Jones. Leona is survived by her children, Lana (Alan Griffin) Harris and Paul (Margaret Willard) Traub; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Kirk.
