Age 71, passed away on February 5, 2018. Les was born in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of the late Leslie and Norma Lowder. Les was a graduate of Loy Norrix High School Class of 1964. He then served our country in the U.S. Army, until he was honorably discharged in 1968. In 1971 he opened Lowder’s East Main Union ’76 which later became Lowder’s Automotive. Les has proudly served the eastside community and built his business on the values of kindness and respect for over 40 years. When he was not working Les, enjoyed boating, fishing, bowling and going to the casino. On December 9, 1972, he married the love of his life Jeanne M. (Volderauer) Lowder who survives. Les was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He leaves behind many wonderful memories to cherish, and he will be missed by so many whose lives he touched. He is also survived by two children, Stacy (Matthew) Snyder and Wade Lowder; two adorable granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Savannah; a niece, Chris Stevens and a nephew, Travis Markwell. He was also preceded in passing by a sister, Bonnie Markwell.
