Aged 75, left this world at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo on December 30, 2024, with family at her side. But while she is no longer physically with us, Linda’s loving spirit lives on in all the lives she touched.

Born in Detroit, MI, to the late James and Helen (Kenny) Rowe, Linda grew up with her siblings, twin sisters Cathy and Ruth Wade (both now deceased), and Roberta Rowe and Charles (Michelle Reese), who survive her. Later in life she was “Buddha Mom” to three children, Cheri (Martin) Vogelbaum, Vance Lesauskis, and Sean Lesauskis. Linda’s memory lives in the hearts of Cheri and Vance, who survive her. She is doting on Sean, who predeceased her, and is delighted that they are together again.

Linda had a 20-year love affair with Donald Garland, who became her cherished husband on Saturday, April 8, 2023. She was everything to Donnie, and he continues to hold her close even as he misses her dearly. Donnie’s entire extended family adored Linda, who was affectionately known as “Grandma” or “Ya-ya” to all the children and loved by everyone. The Garlands grieve her loss.

A kind and generous soul, Linda always opened her heart and home to those in need, including her nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. With her passion for cooking and talent for hosting, Linda was never happier than when the seats at her table were filled with loved ones. Her outgoing personality and warmth always inspired and comforted others, giving them a sense of hope and creating beautiful memories.
