Age 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 7, 2023 and went to be with her Lord and Savior. Linda was born in Comstock, Michigan on December 19, 1947, the fourth daughter of the late Jacob and Pearl (Kuilema) Doorn. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pat (Tom) Nicholson; brother, Donald (Janet) Doorn; and brothers in-law, Ken Terpstra and Donald Cramer. Linda is survived by her children, Sam and Angie Hinds; grandchildren, Leah, Alexia, Lillie and Moses; sisters, Jackie Terpstra and Carol Cramer; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. After marrying Bob Hinds and having children, Linda spent most her happiest times at her home on Indian Lake, on the pontoon boat with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene, 7520 East U Ave., Vicksburg, MI 49007. A time of visitation will be held at the church prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM. Memorial contributions in Linda’s memory may be given to Special Olympics of Michigan.
