Age 71, died peacefully surrounded by family on February 5, 2017 in Schoolcraft, Michigan. Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, John; children, Janie (Pete), Greg (Dawn), and Dennis (Ann) and her nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Crawford; mother, Mabel I. Crawford; and her favorite dog, Grover. Linda was born on April 8, 1945 in Flint, Michigan and adopted by Nathaniel and Mabel Crawford. She graduated from Atherton High School in 1963. Linda married John Pincumbe in June of 1965. After moving to Schoolcraft in 1978, she and John became heavily involved in the community and Schoolcraft Community Schools. Linda worked at Kindercare and later ran a daycare out of her home. Many Schoolcraft kids felt the caring nature of Linda’s love. Linda immersed herself in watching her three children grow and loved to watch them in all of their athletic contests. Her interests led to John and Linda becoming avid supporters of the Schoolcraft Athletic Boosters. She continued to support Schoolcraft athletics by watching every game and every sport in every season that her grandchildren played. Her grandchildren Cameron, Emmett, Sydney, Bowen, Abigail, Cooper, Delaney, Gerrin, and Talia were the love of her life. Linda worked at KCMS for many years. She later retired to care for her ailing mother Mabel. Through the years, Linda had a very close group of friends. In fact, the “Schoolcraft Mafia” ate dinner together every Friday night for over 30 years. Her friends were very important to her. The family would like to thank Charlie and Colleen Taylor of Michigan Personalized Homecare and their wonderful caregiving staff, Mary, Jennifer, Taquanda, Peggy and Jessica for their love, support, and dedication.
