Lisa Diane Baker, age 57, passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones on June 22, 2026. She was born in Kalamazoo on August 30, 1968, the daughter of the late Jerry and Patricia (Cox) Baker. Lisa was an inspiring woman filled with love for others. Throughout her great health battles, she never lost perspective of what was valuable in life and always took the time to put others first. Her strength, courage and sense of humor will be truly missed by all who loved her.

She graduated from Delton Kellogg, Kalamazoo Valley Community College and attended Western Michigan University. She was employed at Propelis Group where she worked as a SR QC Operator. When not working she lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed camping, kayaking, traveling and going to the beach. She loved spending time with her close friends Mindy and Chandra, pets “Oop” and “Emma” and was a Detroit Lions fan to the end.

Much of her time and strength was spent on her courageous battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer. For Lisa, one illness often led to another and created new challenges and difficulties. She faced each with dignity and grace. No matter her treatment or condition, when asked how she was doing, Lisa’s response was always “good”!

Above all Lisa loved her family and friends. Every person in her life was important and held a special place in her heart. To know Lisa was to love her and she leaves behind a legacy of humor, grace and peace.

On October 18, 2020, she married the love of her life, Karol Bartlam who survives. She is also survived by siblings, Laura (Jeff) Hettinger, Nancy (Steve) Monroe; in-laws, Karen (Jeff) VanDyke, Kristin (Dean) Stramer, Kevin (Carrie) Bartlam; nieces and nephews, Zach (Grace) Hettinger, Jeremy (Megyn) Hettinger, Shane (Tasha) Hettinger; Sydnee Baker, Mitch Monroe, Trent (Meg) Monroe, Sophie Monroe, Corey (Brittany) VanDyke, Kelcey (Matt) Dillon, Jordan (Caleb) Beachler, Maygan Stramer, Nick Johnson, Gavin Bartlam, Seth Bartlam; several great nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
