ROGERS, Lola H.
Battle Creek
Lola Helen Rogers (née Hansen) of Battle Creek, passed away at her home on September 20, 2023, surrounded by family and friends after a hard-fought battle against cancer. She was born in Kalamazoo on September 3, 1957. Lola lived a wonderful life, filled with many people who loved her. She had many amazing experiences, including skydiving, white-water rafting, and traveling to many places. All who knew her witnessed her kindness, generosity, love and the laughter she gave. Lola would give anything to those she loved and those who loved her. She also enjoyed camping, going to the Great Lakes of Michigan, and spending time with her family and her friends. The thing she was most proud of in her life was son, Cody, as she loved being a mother most of all. She was an amazing friend, partner, and mother who will be greatly missed by many. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lola (née Dziewicki) Hansen. Lola is survived by her husband of nearly 20 years, Arch “Chris” William Rogers IV; son, Cody Taboada and daughter in-law, Emily Smith. A memorial service and luncheon were graciously donated by lifelong friends, Patty Sunnock-Campbell, Mary O’Leary-Knecht, Deb Padgett-Smith, Carrie Mann-Newcomb, Diane Parker-LaPiana, Becky Costello, Sonya Terburg, Gayle Smith-Rinker, Laurie Padgett-Babbitt and Debbie Koetje-Pacic, all who had many wonderful years of laughter and fun with Lola; and through the generosity of many friends and family that donated lovingly through GoFundMe.
