In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will take place on Saturday July 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Third Christian Reformed Church located at 2400 Winchell Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI 49008 with AJ Gretz presiding.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Third Christian Reformed Church (Visual Arts) c/o the funeral home. Family and friends are encouraged to leave a message of condolence.

Age 81.  Louise passed away on June 30, 2018.  She was born on February 21, 1937 in Rotterdam, Netherlands to the late Hendrik and Nennetje Van Brummelen.  She was married to Martinus “Mac” Vanden Brink on November 8, 1958.  Mac and Louise owned and operated several businesses over the years.  Most recently, they owned the Comstock Motor Court in Comstock, Michigan.  Above all, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved brother, Harro Van Brummelen.  She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Mac of Portage, MI; their children, Lloyd (Susan) Vanden Brink of Detroit, MI; Monique Vanden Brink of Portage, MI.  Also surviving are her two beloved grandchildren, Sean Lloyd Vanden Brink of Detroit, MI and Jenna Sue Vanden Brink and her husband, David Stehouwer of Pittsburgh, PA; and a much cherished great-granddaughter, Rosemary Louise Stehouwer, along with her sister, Annemieke “Miki” Stewart.  In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will take place on Saturday July 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Third Christian Reformed Church located at 2400 Winchell Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI 49008 with AJ Gretz presiding.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Third Christian Reformed Church (Visual Arts) c/o the funeral home.
