Lynn will be laid to rest next to Tim in a private graveside service at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park, South. Memorial contributions may be made to Centrica Care Navigators, in c/o the funeral home.

Age 79, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 26, 2024. Lynn was born in Kalamazoo, on June 6, 1944, the daughter of Robert and Maxine (Brooks) Van Patten Sr. On September 12, 1964, she married James Robert “Tim” Kinney, who preceded her in death in 2014. Lynn enjoyed spending summers at their cottage at Pleasant Lake. She enjoyed reading and word search games. She was a fan of Western Michigan basketball. Lynn and Tim liked travelling in their RV. She was a stay-at-home Mom, and she was devoted to her family in every way. Lynn is survived by her children, William (Michelle) Kinney of Kalamazoo and Kathleen (Rodney) VanDyke of Hamilton; grandchildren, Alex VanDyke, Tonya VanDyke and Reilly (Emily) VanDyke; great-grandson, Finnley VanDyke; brother, Robert (Valorie) Van Patten Jr.; brother-in-law, Philip (Mary) Kinney; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
