Age 90, of Fennville, MI, passed away on September 21, 2025. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on February 19, 1935, the daughter of the late Clarence and Melba (Geren) Pierce. Mabel was a kind, gentle and loving woman. Her heart and spirit were grounded in faith, and she leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. Mabel worked hard as a homemaker to ensure the happiness of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her heart and home were always open to those in need. Mabel was a gifted sewist and sewed everything by hand and enjoyed making table runners, curtains, aprons and other beautiful items. Later in life she enjoyed doing word searches and coloring. Her smile and warmth were always welcomed at Open Door Worship Center where she attended church and made friends. Mabel was a social butterfly, and she loved learning about other people and sharing in their joys and concerns. Above all she loved her family and made great efforts to be involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was married and widowed to Charles Rustenholtz and later Roy Holmes. She was also preceded in passing by three children, Charles “Chuck” Rustenholtz, William Rustenholtz and Ellen Dybalski; several siblings. She is survived by three children, Steve (Donna) Rustenholtz, Jack (Donna) Rustenholtz, Sharon (Joe) Wyman; daughter-in-law, Amy Rustenholtz; grandchildren, Jessica, Emily (Mika), Tim, Lindsey, Ashley (Austin), Jay (Morghan), Steven, Heather (Justin), Rhonda (Kyle), Christopher, Hannah, Rachel, Jack Jr., Jacob, Jody Jr. (Lillian), Clinton (Jamie), Pamela, Elijah (Joline); several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Mackey; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
