Age 76, passed away late Saturday morning January 28, 2023. Margie was born in Flushing, NY, on August 4, 1946, the daughter of James and Florence (Promutico) Morgan. On May 29, 1965 she married Loren C. Locke who preceded her in death 2021. She and Loren met in front of the Unisphere at the World’s Fair in New York in 1964, while he was on military leave. Margie will be remembered by many as being a crossing guard for many years on Riverview Drive. She also worked as the Parchment Fire Department, Kalamazoo Sheriffs Department and Kalamazoo Township Police as a dispatcher. Margie was a devoted Yankee fan. She enjoyed playing bingo. Margie was a great cook and was famous for her brownies. Nothing was more important to her than her grandchildren. Margie is survived by her children, Gary (Kate) Locke and James “Jim” (Melissa) Locke; her granddaughters, Christina Bourdo, Courtney Locke, Jennifer Locke, Hannah Locke, and Isabella Locke; nine great-grandchildren; brother, James Morgan; sister, Annette Hershfield; nephew, Matthew Stecker; and many, many friends. Besides her husband, Margie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law.
