Age 73, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Maria was born in Mexico City on December 13, 1948, the daughter of the late Jesus Ayala Garcia and Alicia Ayala Medina. On July 5, 1969, she was united in holy marriage to Antonio Martinez, who preceded her in death on January 23, 2011. Maria is survived by her two daughters, Patty Mireles and Alicia (Tim) DeLong; grandchildren, Ricky, Jesse and Jeremiah Mireles and Joshua and Gabriel DeLong; siblings, Lourdes Ayala, Gerado Ayala, Zeke (Nina) Ayala, Edmundo (Juanita) Ayala, Georgina Ayala and Steve Ayala; nieces, Maria, Lisa and Michelle and nephews, Eddie, Jr. and Daniel. Besides her parents and husband, Maria was preceded in death by her son in-law, Richard Mireles and nephew, Bobby Ayala. A Homegoing service and celebration of Maria’s life will be held at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 3:00 PM. A time of visitation will take place at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 PM.
