Age 92, passed away on Monday April 8, 2019 at Grace Valley Home in Kalamazoo. She was born on August 7, 1926 in Iselin, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Walter and Stephina (Kalanovicz) Tarko.  Marian will always be remembered for her homemade birthday cakes and lemon meringue pie. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being her grandson’s “date” for breakfast on a regular basis. Marian attended nurses training as a member of the Cadet Nurses Corp as part of our country’s efforts during World War II and eventually retired as a registered nurse after serving others for 35 years. On October 22, 1949, she married the late Edward Francis Karsonovich, living for a time in Ohio and called Michigan her home for the last 47 years, spending most of those years in Paw Paw. Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, her sisters Catherine “Kay”, Dorothy and her brother Edward. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Ronald (Pam) Karsonovich of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Joanne (Jerry) Becker of Vero Beach, Florida; Marian (Tim) Stowers of Kalamazoo; Laura (Bruce) Goethe, also of Kalamazoo as well as her eight grandchildren, Kevin Karsonovich, Alaina Karsonovich, Andrea Becker, Nolan Becker, Evan Conrad, Brendan, Olivia and Peyton Goethe.
