Age 78, passed away on November 5, 2021, at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands on January 29, 1943, the daughter of the late Jeroem and Christine Boogerman. After traveling to the United States, her family would eventually settle in southwest Michigan, though she was always proud of her Dutch heritage. On March 12, 1964, she married Everett Dykhuis. Together they worked hard to provide a happy home for their family. Marie loved to be outdoors and spent countless hours working in her flower garden. She also enjoyed camping and taking walks. While doing chores around the house she enjoyed listening to the music of Michael W. Smith and other artists. More than anything Marie loved her family and her friends. She was especially fond of her grandchildren and loved spending time with them whenever she could. Her love and kindness will forever be remembered by those she loved. She is survived by her husband Everett Dykhuis; two children, Jeffrey Dykhuis and Annette Melching; three grandchildren, Brooke Leonard, Courtney Melching and Mark Melching; a great-grandson, Carter Westfall; sister, Yvonne Landrum; many other family and friends. She was also preceded in passing by a sister, Ali Visser.
