Age 87, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017. Marilyn was born in Kalamazoo on October 11, 1929; the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Pape) VerMeulen. She enjoyed bingo, yardwork, camping and fishing. On April 21, 1950, she married Charles E. Showerman, who preceded her in death on March 13, 2000. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert and William VerMeulen and sisters, Evelyn Angell and Pat Bouters. Marilyn is survived by her children, Lyle (Jackie) Showerman, Greg (Rebecca) Showerman and Mark Showerman; grandchildren, Amy Showerman, Stacy (Scott) Arlington, Nathan Showerman and Dustin Showerman and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kallie Jo and Logan.
