Marjorie age 94 was residing at Alamo Nursing Home when she quietly when home to be with her Lord on January 15, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She was privately laid to rest next to her late husband Leslie in East Cooper Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, c/o the funeral home.

She was born in Corydon, IA, the daughter of the late Leonard and Mable (Meyer) Latimer. On June 28, 1948, she married the love of her life Leslie E. Gideon who preceded her in passing in 2005. She was also preceded in passing by two daughters, Donita Miller and Jean Boque; a sister, Jean Nickel. Marjorie was a lovely woman who had a warm smile and was a joy to know. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of Northeastern Baptist Church of Kalamazoo. She was supportive and proud of her family and leaves them with the legacy of a life well lived. She is survived by two sisters, Annie (Carl) Hagan and Gwen Wooten; two children, Sue (Craig) Gardner and Rick (Jodi) Gideon; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
