Age 86, passed peacefully with her family by her side and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 4, 2023. Mary was born in Harrison County, Texas on November 1, 1937, the daughter of the late Harry and Grace (Root) Mortensen. Mary was a dedicated Christian and a faithful member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Church for most of her adult life. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and cherished spending time with her family. Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Scotty Ray Geer; daughter, Lou Ann Geer; granddaughter, Jennifer Courtney; three brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her son, Stephen Geer; 13 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Mary’s life will be announced at a later date.
