Age 52, passed away on March 31, 2024, at Centrica Rose Arbor Place. She was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on May 20, 1971, the daughter of Ian Kevin and JoAnn (Wright) Barker. Melisa was a kind and loving person who leaves behind many joyful memories. She was a hard worker and took a job at Friendship Village out of high school and remained there for thirty-four years. When not working, she enjoyed listening to music, especially rock n’ roll, gatherings with family and friends, attending church and spending time with her pets. Melisa had a huge heart filled with love; her smile and laughter will be missed. She is survived by her only son, Zachary (Lani) Dinse; parents, Kevin and JoAnn; two siblings, Wayne Barker and Lynda Barker.; Several nieces and nephews with one special niece, Meagan.
