My deepest of sympathy to Mike's family. I am so saddened learning of his passing. I met Mike while working at his family doctor. In striking up conversation I learned he was a retired officer and he learned I was a new law enforcement wife. Whenever I saw Mike he always gave me a good laugh and some sage advice on how to navigate life with my husband. I will never forget all of the gr ew at conversations and the priceless wisdom he shared with me. Rest in Peace Mike.

My sincerest and deepest condolences to Mike's family. I know he will be missed. Mike and I worked together on the KDPS, and during that time I felt Mike was not only a very good officer, and very personable person to be around. Someone who could be trusted and got things done. Mike was one of best I ever worked with. Mike will be someone who I will remember forever. God rest his sole. Rest in peace Mike, you sure deserve it, and you are in a much better place now. We are praying for all of you at this difficult time. While we never had the honor of meeting Mike, our daughter Ellen was with the family as they came together for him in his illness. Their loving care and sacrifices (though I don’t think any of them thought of what they did as a sacrifice) were a testament to the kind of man he was and the life of self-sacrifice that he himself led and instilled in those closest to him.
