Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo Humane Society, or a charity of your choice, c/o the funeral home.

Age 74, passed away on October 20, 2022. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on June 11, 1948, the daughter of the late Allen and Helen Jane (Greenman) denBleyker. Nancy lived her life to the fullest and leaves many cherished memories. She had a compassionate heart and loved to be involved in improving the lives of others. She enjoyed spending her summers growing up at Gull Lake where she sailed and swam with family and friends. She was a swim instructor and lifeguard at the YWCA and Michigan State University and also a counselor at camp Merrie-Woode. Nancy new the value of hard work and excelled as a customer service representative in banking. During her career she was awarded the “Women in Banking” award. Nancy also knew the value of having fun and enjoyed traveling with Dominick to Acapulco, Las Vegas, rafting on the Colorado river, Puerto Rico and Florida, was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and classic movie enthusiast. She had a tender heart, loved animals and could be counted on to care for a friend or neighbors’ pet when needed. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was raised in the Presbyterian Church. Above all Nancy loved her family and her friends. Her laughter and welcoming smile could brighten the darkest of days and she will be missed by all who loved her. On May 27, 1989, she married the love of her life Dominick Busti who survives. She is also survived by a sister, Julie Shaw; in-laws, Neil (Marianne) Busti, Betty (Frank) Dicarlo, Theresa (Kevin) O’Leary; nieces and nephews, John (Flo Beaumon) Shaw, Jeff Shaw, Emily (Christopher) Haite; many great nieces and nephews and friends.
