Beloved Mother of Marcia McDonell of Arizona, Kathleen (Thomas) Brojek of Wisconsin, and Thomas McDonell, Jr. of Michigan. Loving Grandmother of Jamie Kelley and Matthew McDonell. Proud Great Grandmother of Lucas Kelley. Dearest sister of Elizabeth McIntyre and Daneen Stancle. She is also survived and was loved by 13 nieces and nephews – Janet, Joan, Dawn, Mark, Robin, Carolyn, Michael, Georgiana, Linda, David, Trish, Carl, and David.

Nancy was born in Detroit, Michigan to Karl and Vera Brill. She grew up and attended schools in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She went on to live in Detroit, Fraser, Mt. Clemens, Clinton Township, Portage, and finally in Kalamazoo, Michigan. At the time of her death, Nancy was living at the Fountains at Bronson Place in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Before she had children, Nancy worked at J. L. Hudson Company, Ross Roy Inc., and Jacobson’s. After raising her three children, she returned to the workforce as a Medical Assistant in a physician’s office. She then became a Medical Transcriptionist. Nancy worked for many years, ending her full-time career as Supervisor of Medical Records and Transcription at Mt. Clemens General Hospital. After retirement, she worked part-time in medical transcription and retired in 2010.

Nancy was an enthusiastic golfer who played until age 87.  She also enjoyed boating, tennis, and reading. Her first love was spending time with her family.
