Age 75, passed away late Wednesday night, July 19, 2023. Nancy was born in Alma, MI, on December 28, 1947, the daughter of Harvey Jacob and Nellie Elizabeth (Reed) Hagerman. She was married to Harold E. “Ed” Maddox, who preceded her in death in 2011. She had worked for many years at Summit Polymers. Nancy was an avid reader, especially romance novels. She also liked diamond painting. Nothing was more important to her than her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her children, Michael (Peggy) Maddox, Christine Miller, Katherine Maddox and Annette (Darell) Smith, all of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Krystal Maddox, Daniel (Deshila Burse) Maddox, and Destiny (Antonio Scott) Maddox; great-grandchildren, Payton Pitts and Olivia Maddox; sister, Judy (Ed) Forrest; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Besides her husband, Nancy was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Maddox; a daughter, Tamberly Maddox; a great grandson, Kylen Scott; a sister, Joy Hagerman.
