I was thinking of Nancy this morning and decided to google her(and Paul). As you can imagine, I was dismayed to find her obituary. Nancy and I worked at Steelcase together back in the late 70's...we became friends and got together regularly until our lives became so busy and unfortunately we lost touch. We even lived in Northern Chicago( for less than a year) when you were in Elmhurst. Then we visited on 28th St in Holland when the kids were small. Do you even remember our family? We had Albert, Rachel, Jonathan and Luke.(Ed is my husband) We lived in Marne,Mi. I am so sorry for your loss, Nancy was so fun and I enjoyed her sense of humor and her keen honesty. And it was a pleasure that we had a shared faith in Christ. I did try to contact her when you were in Ca., that was several years ago. I pray you are all well and I am sorry this is 3 plus years belated. I know your faith in GOD is helping you all. You have my sincere sympathy even at this late date. Becky Boersma

My heart aches for Barb, Roger, Michael and Dave Dekker and their entire extended family at the loss of their beloved Nancy. I am so, so sorry for your loss. I pray you can find peace in all your wonderful memories of this special lady. Marilyn Laurin

Dear Paul, Karen, Laura and Kathy, ( as well as spouses and grandchildren) Please know you are in our hearts and prayers. Our time spent with Nancy was always one of great laughter. She had a fun spirit and infectious laugh. One of my fondest memories is a time we went to Dumez together to try on bathing suits. I’m sure everyone in the store heard us laugh at each other over the many many minutes we spent trying on multiple suits. I don’t think we ended up purchasing a single one, but, that was an awfully fun time and lasting memory. We will not make the visitation or funeral due to vacation but our prayers will continue. I know she was assured of your deep and lasting love for her. Barb Brink ( and Karl)
