In accordance with her wish Nellie will continue to serve others and has made a gift of her remains to the University of Michigan Anatomical Donation Program. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, c/o the funeral home.

Age 82, passed away on September 20, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on February 13, 1940, the daughter of the late Hal and Lea (Hoods) Lantz. After graduating high school, she attended Michigan State University and earned a nursing degree. She had a servant’s heart and worked hard for over forty years as a nurse for the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor and Battle Creek. Nellie had a strong will which helped her face great adversity throughout her life. She was a loving and dedicated mother to her three children who survive, Robb, Brian (Mary Noel) and Nicole. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jonathan, James and Neal Broad, Rachel, Amanda, Paige and Michael Brauer.
