Age 68, passed away at Marshall Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center on April 22, 2023. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI on May 25, 1954, the son of the late Herman and Florence (Crawford) Kuilema. Nick was kind, generous and loving. He had a warm smile, wonderful sense of humor and was a joy to know. He attended Kalamazoo Central High School, Class of 1972. He was a hard worker and was employed by several environmental companies until his retirement. When not working, he loved spending time riding and working on his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed traveling, baseball, and listening to Beatles music. Above all Nick loved his family and was a regular presence at his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Nick leaves behind many memories to cherish by those who loved him. On August 5, 1995, he married Jerri L. (Boettcher) Kuilema who survives. He is also survived by three children, Bridgett Carr, Mindy Morris and Nicole (James) Bennington; grandchildren, Karlie (Shane) Sell, Jordon Morris, Jayson Morris, Anthony Carr, Jameson Bennington, Landen Bennington, Khloe Bennington; two great-grandchildren, Spencer and Violet Sell; former spouse, Brenda Kahl. He was also preceded in passing by an infant brother, Stephen Kuilema and a step-mother, Blanch Kuilema.
