I would like to express my sincere condolences to Jerry and the family. I met Paula when I moved to Kalamazoo and started working at Borgess in 1975. We worked together in the ICU for at least 20 years. Being a small unit, the nurses were all very close and we went through many life experiences together, marriages, pregnancies and motherhood to mention a few. In spite of the serious nature of the work we managed to find time to share a laugh. Paula loved to tell jokes . She often used clever expressions to describe things. The one that has always stuck with me was when she was describing how dark it was, she would say, “ it was as dark as a stack of black cats.” Just loved that. I have many fond memories of Paula and those years we worked together. So very sorry for your loss Carol Ingebritson

To My Dear Aunt Paula, Thank you for bringing so much love and fun to those around you. I’ll remember you always…….especially when I visit Lake Michigan. So many of my best childhood memories are with you, and Uncle Jerry; Ben and Angela at the lake:) You are loved and will be greatly missed Aunt Paula. You are safely home now in arms of Jesus, rest peacefully in His Love. Love, Suzanne

I am so sorry for the loss of Paula. I worked with her in ICU and she always had a friendly smile and upbeat personality My husband died of the same form of pancreatic cancer and only lived 3 weeks from diagnosis. It was way to sudden and shocking. Jerry my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
