In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place and he will be laid to rest privately at Comstock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rose Arbor Hospice 5473 Croyden Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.

My thoughts are with Fran and the entire Simpson family. I've know them most my life, went to school with Doug then we got our first apartment together. I worked with Ralph at Brown Company for a few years and still remember crossing the conveyor belt with him and Rusty running their machines on the other side, had to walk right between them. Ralph would always say "Hey sonny, come here, i want to talk to you" I knew right then i was in for a BS session... but i always went over to hear what he had to say... RIP Ralphy. I have known Ralph for many years. He truly was a kind loving caring man. My prayers go out to Fran and all those who loved him during their time of mourning and adjusting to life without him. He will be missed by all who loved him. God bless, john
