Age 66, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 1, 2021. He passed at home surrounded by loved ones after a battle with cancer. Randy was a kind and loving man who had a passion for life. He was born in Chicago, IL, on July 13, 1954, the son of the late Bennie and Bertha (Alexander) Mayfield. After graduating high school, he enlisted and served our country in the U.S. Army. After being honorably discharged he would eventually make Kalamazoo, MI his home. He was a hard worker who was employed as a custodian for the Kalamazoo Public School System for more than thirty years. His smile, laughter and warmheartedness will be missed by all who loved him.
