Raquel Boodt, age 56, passed on to Heaven on November 24, 2020, at her home in Kalamazoo, Michigan after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her husband and her two children. Her memory was celebrated on December 5, 2020 by her closest loved ones.

Raquel was born on December 4, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois to Guadalupe and Julio Garcia. She was the oldest of five children. Raquel was always a fighter and in high school her nickname was “Rocky.” She fought her battle with stomach cancer with courage.

Raquel was a legal secretary and law firm office manager for many years and was enjoying her retirement in Kalamazoo with her husband.

Raquel is survived by her husband, Douglas; her two children, Joel Sandoval and Michael Sandoval and her father and siblings. She will be missed by all.
