I will always remember seeing the Patterson family at St. Ann's when I was growing up. Ray & Carolyn were great parents & have good reason to be proud of the wonderful family they raised. Shortly after high school, I got a summer job employed as an electrical helper for Moore Electric, who had recently purchased Rowen & Blare. The big project was Upjohn's research building in downtown Kalamazoo. I would make deliveries daily and always see Ray - working hard - when i dropped off supplies. Ray always had a smile, time to chat or help me when i didn't know where to place deliveries or needed help finding the job boss. We got to know each other well over that summer & I was blessed to be able to call him my friend. I have no doubt that Ray has gone to receive his reward with the Lord in Heaven. Maybe St. Peter has him running new LED lighting in the gates! Thank you, Ray, for enriching my - and so many other's- lives! You will be missed -- but we shall see you again soon!

Carol and family, Jack and I are grieving with and for you all. Ray was such a special person, always with a great sense of humor and a sweet smile that lit up his face and ours too. We have so many wonderful memories of times spent with you two. We will make more and he will always be with us. Love you.
