Age 55, passed away unexpectedly on May 9, 2021. He was born in Kalamazoo on December 17, 1965. Troy, as he was called by those who knew him, loved his kids, grandkids, working on cars, playing cards, gardening, listening to music and barbecuing. His favorite holiday was the Fourth of July, where he was the life of the party and always had fun lighting up the sky with fireworks. He had a wonderful and sarcastic sense of humor, was quick witted and always found a way to make those around him laugh. Troy leaves behind many joyful memories to be cherished by all those who loved him. He is survived by his loving wife Pam Peters; children, Christina (Derek) Adkins, Raymond (Kaylynn) Peters Jr., Dalice (Christopher Jr.) Carpenter and Heather (Ashley) Peters; stepsons, Johnathon (Virginia) Stauter, Joseph Dennis; stepdaughter, Angela (Wes) Weston; grandchildren, Zach, Isiah, Hunter, Kaylynn, Derek Jr., Oliver, Christopher III, Axel, Mason, Tyler; his mother, Vivian Ickes; siblings, Michelle Peters, Nicole (Ben Sr.) Clark, Lance Peters; several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Peters and grandparents, William (Thelma) Harrison.
