Age 56 passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019, at Rose Arbor Hospice with family at her side. She was born in Kalamazoo on March 20, 1963, the daughter of James and Marcia (Schrier) Bell. Rebecca was kind, loving and gentle. She was a graduate of Kalamazoo Christian High School Class of 1981 and attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Though she struggled with many illnesses during life, she faced them all with a sense of courage and humility. On October 24, 1992, she married the love of her life, Matthew Barber who survives. They enjoyed several trips to the Upper Peninsula together and made the most of the years they had. Becky also enjoyed playing euchre, caring for her pet cats and spending time with family and friends. Becky loved life and will be missed by all who loved her. She is also survived by her mother, Marcia Schubert; a sister, Melissa (Lee) Bailey; two brothers, Steve (Andrea) Bell, Pete (Lynn) Bell; a niece, many nephews and close family friends. She was preceded in passing by her father.
