Age 95, passed away on Sunday evening, January 14, 2024 with his family at his side. Richard was born in Detroit, MI, on April 10, 1928, the son of William and Nellie (Simmerson) Will. On May 1, 1954, he married Patricia Moore who preceded him in death in 2022. Richard was proud to have served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Richard was a tool and die maker for many years with General Motors Fisher Body. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and made many pieces of furniture and toys for children. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. Richard is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Will of Saline, MI; Victoria (Thomas) Leak of Kalamazoo; surrogate daughter, Julie Clancy; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Nina Cook, who he chatted with every Sunday; and countless friends. Besides his wife, Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank Will, William Will, Charles Will; sister, Dolores Lawhead.
